Why it's vital to choose a wedding photographer that's a team player.

A few days ago I edited one of our beautiful Lake Tahoe weddings.  Unfortunately, the wedding photographer seemed oblivious to the fact that the bride had also paid for wedding cinematography.  At critical points of the ceremony and reception, the photographer jumped into our shots (completely blocking our cameras) to get his own, despite the fact that we communicated with this photographer prior to the events where we would be filming from.  

We LOVE working with most wedding photographers, and make every effort to work as a team to get the best possible stills and video for our bride and groom.  When the photographer and cinematographer work together, there can be a wonderful synergy that improves the work of both.  At a wedding last week at the Grand Island Mansion, we filmed the photo session in the front of the Mansion.  It was dark and I could tell that our talented photographer Amy (from Amy Carr Photography) was having a difficult time focusing some of her shots, so I brought out a small video light and used my 2nd shooter as a lighting assistant for both of us (see still captured from video below).  Amy was able to get some SPECTACULAR back lit shots, and so was I:)

Consider booking a photographer from our preferred list.  We work well with each of these fabulous photographers, including Kaboo Vang of Kaboo Photography shown in the top image at Wine and Roses in Lodi!
