The World Record Wedding Video Event - revisited
On February 15, 2006, 70+ videographers and approximately 100 cameras set a new world record for the number of video cameras to professionally videotape a wedding at the Library Galleria in Sacramento. I had the opportunity to produce the World Record Wedding Video Event (WRWVE). Most of the cameras were hidden in the balcony, so the coverage was suprisingly unobtrusive for the number of camera used. The event was co-sponsored by our local videographers association (SPVA) and our national association (WEVA).
Last week, I was asked by the Association of Catering Executives to present a short seminar on team-building and the WRWVE. As I prepared the presentation, I realized once again the tremendous teamwork involved in the event- from the talented videographers that flew in from all over America and the wedding professionals that graciously donated their services. Everyone left their egos at home! Our local WRWVE committee came through when it counted the most.
